Dasha is 15 years old, student in the 9th grade. Since her early childhood she was raised only by her grandmother, given the fact that her mother left her when she was one year old and went to Turkey. In all these 15 years she visited Dasha only few times, to less to build any mother-daughter relations. She also has no father, given the fact that her mother run away from him when she got pregnant because he was treating her very violently.

 

Opened arms for the Unwanted

Marcela was born in a poor family within a small village on South of Moldova. When she was 4 years old and her little brother was only 9 months, their mother left them and disappeared. For few years their father was doing his best to take care of them. But at one moment, he broke down and turned into a heavy drinker, ceased taking care of children.

Not long ago Aurelia's life was changed radically. The house in which she was living with her husband and their two little girls suddenly caught fire and burned badly. Cristina who is 6 years old managed to get out before she could get hurt, but Mihaela who is only 3 was left unattended and suffered burns up to 40% of her body.

Nikita is 13 years old and he is a student within „Rambama” high school in Chisinau. Since he was very small, Nikita was not able to walk because one of his legs is very week so he practically grew up using a wheelchair. In his family, he lives only with his mother and grandmother, but they both show great love towards him and are a great encouragement and motivation for his proper development and education.

 

I finally found a family

Since first years of life Lena didn't get the chance of growing and developing as a normal kid in a normal complete family. Despite the fact that she was the only child in the family, love, care, attention, education and many other such values were not daily gifts for her, meant to improve her well-being. Most of her childhood lacked her mother's presence because her mother, Irina, was involved in a criminal gang. After a few years of activity, she was arrested and sent into prison for 6 years. Lena’s relationship with her mother was not so bright; she suffered because of her mother’s absence and wished to have her back.
